After completion, the user then saves the report, and imports it back into Retail Shelf Planner, allowing him to use the market research data in stock and financial analyses, and display the sales or movement ranking as part of the position label. This data is then automatically processed further to create several rankings. The Excel-template then links to the Nielsen reporting tool, retrieving data for the selected retailer. From Retail Shelf Planner, the user would run a standard Excel report, which is as simple as double-clicking the template. After the user confirmed his selection, the report was automatically updated, combining the Retail Shelf Planner spatial information, with the Nielsen market research data, providing the user a ready-to-use report.įor the second part of the challenge a similar approach was used.
